  Paul at Carpet Call was really good and knows his carpet. The installers on the other hand were no good. They left a mess on the carpet which I can live with but wasn't happy about. The carpet in sections is to short and when you look where it meets the skirting board you can see the edge instead of it rolling down the skirting. The edge running along the skirting board isn't straight. They left a 20mm stone under the carpet so I had to pull up the corner to get the stone out. There were black strands sticking up from the edge of the carpet which I had to go around and cut of so I could paint the skirting boards as they scratched almost all of them. They even cut the skirting boards with a blade leaving a large cut in one section. They marked a wall which was well above the skirting board so I have no idea how that happened. They also broke the edge of a tile. To top it off one used the toilet and didn't lift the seat and left wee on the toilet seat. I'm going to assume the installers were subbies. No one from carpet call rang to see how the install went. It's common for people who use subcontractors to ring up and check or inspect the work to make sure it's of standard. I'm not sure why that hasn't happened. I've waited almost a week to post this review to give them a chance to make contact.

  My husband and I went in looking for a new rug and the man ( i wish i had got his name) was super helpful and friendly, unlike the pushy service we received at a near buy competitor. Once getting the rug home I changed my mind on my selection and it was no issues bringing it back and swapping it over. We are very happy with our new addition to our living room and impressed by the price, quality and customer service received in store. I would highly recommend Carpet Call Pakenham to anyone in the market for carpet or rugs!

  We had problem after problem. Timber flooring was laid but it couldn’t be finished as the installer didn’t have enough material to finish the job. This particular installer did a lovely job, however we waited and waited to get the job finished. Phone calls were not returned. We made multiple trips to the store 25 minutes away. There was a huge mess that was left behind that we had to clean up and dispose of. Waited weeks for the job to be finished…..they wanted us to finish it ourselves!
  Same with the carpet. Job ½ done. Had trouble getting them back and phone calls were not returned. Bronze trim was used instead of silver that we requested. Carpet layers broke a new ducted heating return that we bought, then stole a new large roll of painters Frog Tape that they asked to borrow. No compensation or replacement was offered. The trim was replaced with a cheaper looking alternative to the one we chose, but slate tiles around a fireplace were cracked during the process and we now have to look at having it repaired or replaced. We asked that they keep the carpet remnants, but they didn’t. Rubbish was dumped in our driveway. We had to move it as we couldn’t get our car out of the garage. It was eventually removed weeks later. The carpet installer used the toilet and left a disgusting mess behind, which had to be disinfected and cleaned before anyone else could use it. We were offered a 25 year guarantee for the carpet but have ended up with nothing in writing. Nails are sticking out of the trim, it's loose, and we have to be careful when barefoot. We have 3 more rooms to carpet, but will be going elsewhere. Store owners are nice enough, but full of BS. They need to get their act together and look at employing some decent (and respectful) installers. Not worth the headache and stress.
  
  Latest update, ( a few weeks after installation) my husband injured his foot on a nail sticking out of the trim which was not properly installed and he required medical treatment. We now have a carpet mat over the trim.
  Reply to this review/complaint took weeks and is inadequate. In their reply Carpet Call requested the the invoice number, which they already have, and they now need to contact us to rectify the problems and not simply send a standard computer generated response to all complaints then ignore the issues.
  
  Months later.....still waiting for response from Carpet Call for , replacement for damaged/stolen items, replacement of edging strip and repairs to cracked slate.
  
  Well over 12 months have passed and still no effort has been made to fix the problems.

  Could not rate Carpet Call Pakenham high enough! Iam so so happy with my new rug its just beautiful and was very reasonably priced

  The operator we dealt with was very friendly, very informative and at no time tried to pressure us about what we wanted. Also it was pleasing to know up front that prices will be increased 1st March. In saying this we know we can make a deposit and have the current rates fixed in.

  Recently My wife and i went to carpet call pakenham store as soon as we walked in we were greeted and the guys were very helpful and professional and they had lots of knowledge about the products .We got the sales man to come to the house and he was on time and looked after us in price.The installer was amazing a very nice guy.We will recommend carpet call pakenham to every one.cheers

  They were not friendly. The people who laid the carpet damaged my wardrobe and took a chunk out of one door frame. The manager of the store didn't care and wiped his hands of the case, he had my money so wasn't interested. Would never recommend them. I felt they were not trustworthy.
